Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
