Devoted fans of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a barricade and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video shows the Australian man bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of fans had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the popular stage musical Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, securing a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
